June 2020 meeting! I got there late, but I always enjoy time spent, and doing good.
Each Spring, The Summit Club presents Academic Excellence Awards to Flower Mound Elementary & Middle Schools. These are for the graduating Fifth & Eighth graders. The schools present these to students at end of year ceremonies. Then COVID happens. The 2020 awards for one school sat forgotten until the 2021 awards were delivered. When found, the students were days away from being high school sophomores. This week, a Human Geography teacher contacted me, asking what should she do with the award that showed up on her desk? I had actually substituted for this teacher this year. I was delighted to go to that High School today to deliver the award One COVID year late. #LISD.
